What exactly are we waiting for…
I’d love to say “world peace and the end of irrationalism” but that would be a lie. I mean, we do want those things but we’re mostly waiting for free beer. And stuff to make fun of. But mostly beer.
So grab a beer and listen to us blow of some steam, make fun of the news and generally try to have a good time!

We Create Fun
No really, that’s the goal. We’re here to have a laugh over a few beers and we’re honored that you’d join us. The show was created for entertainment purposes but every once in a while we get all deep and stuff. Sometimes we goof up the facts or reveal that we don’t actually know as much as we let on, so just smile and have a laugh. If you need to send us a correction, visit our contact page. We’re always happy to get nicely worded corrections and additional information!
“But how do you make funny” you probably didn’t ask. Good news! We explain our process below.
Check out our show archive below. Browse by cover art, sort by date or host even filter by keyword!
If you want a complete list of out episodes scroll down further. Episodes are listed by publish date and include a direct download link!
While you’re listening don’t forget, the more you drink — the funnier we are!
Each week we review a beer. The most current of which is listed below along with next weeks. We appreciate your feedback and suggestions so let us know what you think of a beer we drank or tell us about a beer we should drink. If you’re looking for beer data including a breakdown of beers per show, visit the Beers page.

Since we’ve been helping Atheism 101 with their website one of the things we’ve learned is that one day — when we grow up and become a popular show — people will want download links. And in anticipation of that day we’ve created the following auto-updating list.
Throughout the week we collect stories. We have a few standbys, RightWingWatch, BuzzFeed, and frequently Reddit. Stories with eye catching headlines are shared to Slack #stories.
A day or two before recording each host will, if they don’t already have a topic in mind, grab a story and read it over pulling talking points and the best quotes.
Usually before we get to the studio one of us will go grab some “recording beers” to drink while we bullshit. Not to be confused with the extra special awesome beers you all send us ;)
The last step before we get down to biz is a sound check. Every week, between mouths full of pizza or taco, we record a little pre-show chatter to make sure everything is working and just have a bit of a chat eh.
Each week we record the show in more or less the same order you hear it in, though it wouldn’t be unheard of to record the Round Table at the end of the day if our guest has limited time or whatev’s.
Unique files are saved for each host’s track in Audio Hijack Pro then bulk renamed prepending the episode number, segment number and title to the files. Then they are moved into our Dropbox sync folder.
The primary W4W folders sync to Aaron and Steve. The RAW audio files are automatically sorted into Episode folders pre-populated with Adobe Audition template files so Steve can jump right into the first half and Aaron can work on the second half editing at the same time.
Once the segments have been edited the hosts, SFX and guest tracks are mixed down into a completed segment AIFF file. Those completed files are put into the show template by Aaron and then exported to a Golden Master mp3 released to Slack for an editorial preview listen.
Once the preview files (Standard, Patreon cut & Preview) are approved by the team Aaron creates the cover art for the episode, adds the chapters and other meta data then starts the files uploading.
While the files are uploading Aaron runs the show notes through a text parsing script and then corrects the formatting in Patreon (as their editor doesn’t accept rich text… ugh) and publish the patreon show.
The next step is to copy the formatted show notes from Patreon to Podbean and schedule the public show release to release at 7am EST Friday morning.
Finally, Aaron edits the meta data for the preview files on SoundCloud (automatically uploaded on export) and posts the show, preview or whatever else we’ve got to the socials for you all to enjoy and comment on!
All said and done the show is the product of a collaboration between four friends. While Aaron and Steve edit; Jenn manages the socials, promotes the show and generally keeps all of us in line; meanwhile Shea manages the studio, often feeds us, and turns the heaters on in the winter!
It’s a team effort that most often bills out like a part time job each week. We do it because we have fun, because we’re geeks and like to play on our computers and because it gives us the unique opportunity to speak directly to a wonderful group of people. But don’t think we’re complaining, we do the show to have fun and we do it for you, the best listeners a show could hope for! That said, I’m totally gonna plug patreon now…
